What if I forgot my username?

To find the username for your online account, visit the Forgot Your Username page. If you also need to reset the password, you can visit the Forgot Your Password page.

Why do I need to change my username to my email address?

We ask you to use your email address for a few important reasons:

  • Keeps your info more secure
  • Gives you less to remember and manage
  • Provides a smoother sign-in process now and in the future.

Does updating my username change anything in my loan or account?

No, this only changes the username to access your digital account. And unless you change your password too, that will remain the same.

What if I don’t have an email account?

An email address is required for all Rocket accounts. This helps us verify your identity, keep your account secure, and make sure you can receive important updates and notifications.

How long does it take to update my username?

The whole process can be completed in a couple of minutes.

Can I finish this process on my phone?

Yes, you can do the entire process on your phone or another mobile device.

Do I continue signing in at mrcooper.com going forward?

Yes, once you’ve updated your username, you’ll sign in at mrcooper.com as usual using your new username and your existing password (unless you update that too at during this process).

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Visit the Forgot Your Password page to reset the password for your online account.

  • You’ll need to enter your username to reset your password. If you don’t know it, visit the Forgot Your Username page.
  • If you’re locked out of your account, you’ll need to contact us to have it unlocked.

I changed my username and/or reset my password but I’m still not able to sign in.

Try manually typing in your new username and password for your Mr. Cooper account. Your browser may have older credentials saved that is overwriting your new credentials.

If you have a separate Rocket account, your browser may be automatically inputting your Rocket.com (or other Rocket website or app) credentials. Be sure to type in your mrcooper.com credentials.

I haven’t received the verification email. How long will it take to receive it?

The verification email should be received within a few minutes and be sent from no-reply@rocketaccount.com. If you don’t see it right away, be sure to check your spam or junk folder.

Soon, you'll see the Rocket Mortgage® brand on your monthly statements and emails. Nothing else has changed. Please continue making payments to Mr. Cooper and using your online account as normal.
