“There was a time when communities of women sat in quilting circles, stitching over gossip and family worries. It took time and patience, each generally lacking in the fast pace of now. The final result was not only an heirloom but also a record of time, conversations had, patterns explored and personal memories attached to each fabric. It was this interpretation that inspired a different type of quilt, with its own story to tell. Using Good Housekeeping magazines from the 1930’s through 2015, the interlocking origami represent decades of moments reminding us of who we were and who we have become.”
