Steve Hunter is owner and artist at Hunter Creates. His business specializes in mural art, but he also paints large canvas portraits and creates large mosaics working with members of the community.
Steve set up Hunter Creates in Dallas back in 2011 after spending six years as an art teacher in Oak Cliff, teaching students from 1st grade all the way up to 12th. Prior to teaching in Texas, Steve lived and worked in Scotland, the country where he was born. Hunter Creates was established after Steve graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1995 with a BA in Illustration. It was a mural commission at the school he would eventually teach at in Texas that brought him, and his business, to the U.S.
Steve is married to his art teacher wife Mischelle and they live in The Cedars area with their son CJ.
